Hello, I’m Laura

I began using photography to romanticize my life in 2007. As time went on, I realized more and more how strong of a tool it is for crafting stories and preserving moments with an eye in the future. When I take photos, I am thinking of who is going to be experiencing these images years from now. What are the stories that they will hear? And how can these images sneak directly into their hearts even (especially) decades from now?

My goal isn’t just to show what happened, it is to bring back the feelings whenever you pick up your photo album

After working as a wedding photographer for several years during university, I moved away from the job for a few years to focus on becoming a scientist. After a while I realized how special it is to get to surround myself regularly by people in love. I realized that wedding and family photography are about so much more than taking nice pictures. I get to be invited into some of your most intimate, heart-warming moments.

My job is to take it all in, find the images that will capture the story as it is happening, highlight the most precious moments, and bring you right back to the feelings for years to come. I don’t take this job lightly.

After a wedding, I get to bask in that feeling of love, and I often can’t believe how I walk into the experience barely knowing you, but I get to walk out with my heart full of all the love in your life.
